Create your base taxonomy
Before you can tag anything in Excel or Word, you need a base taxonomy in the Wrepit Portal. The taxonomy tells the tagger which company you are, which reporting period you are in, and which XBRL framework to use.
First-time setup: Create a new taxonomy from scratch
- Sign in to the Portal and go to Workspace Settings (top right corner).
- Navigate to the XBRL Taxonomies tab. (If this tab is unavailable, contact support.)
- Click Create new taxonomy.
- Select Start from scratch.
- Fill in all required fields (see field reference below).
- Click Save.
Once saved, the taxonomy will be available for selection in both the Drafts Excel and Word add-ins.
