Page breaks in PDFs (force or avoid)
Use page breaks and the “avoid page break” option to control how content is split across pages when exporting documents to PDF with Wrepit.
How to force a page break
Use a page break when you want content to start on a new page in the PDF.
-
In your Word document, place the cursor in front of the element you want to move to the next page.
-
Insert a page break:
-
Mac: Press Cmd + Enter
-
Windows: Press Ctrl + Enter
-
Or go to Insert → Page Break in Word.
-
-
All content after the page break will start on a new page in the Wrepit PDF.
How to keep elements together (avoid page breaks)
Use this option to prevent elements from being split across two pages in the PDF.
-
In Word, place your cursor between the elements you want to keep together.
-
Open the Highlights add-in.
-
Scroll to the bottom of the add-in.
-
Click Avoid page break.
A content control is inserted between the elements, ensuring they stay on the same page when exporting to PDF.
When should I use this?
-
Use page breaks to control where new pages start.
-
Use avoid page break to keep related content (for example, headings and tables) on the same page.
These options give you more precise control over the layout of your PDF output.
