Why a tag can't be inserted in Drafts Word

When you click to insert a tag, the concept's row in the tag list shows Insertion Error with one of these messages:

Message	What it means	What to do
No text selected. / No text in selection.	Nothing is selected in the document.	Select the text you want to tag, then try again.
This tag can only contain text from 1 paragraph.	The selection spans more than one paragraph, but this type of tag can only cover one.	Select text within a single paragraph.
When inserting a text block tag surrounding an entire paragraph, ensure that you select the entire paragraphs. If you need to select only parts of a paragraph, you should use the continuation feature.	A text block tag must start at the beginning of a paragraph and end at the end of one.	Select whole paragraphs. To tag only part of a paragraph, tag it in pieces and use continuation.
Numeric tags may only contain numbers, potentially including leading dash (-) to indicate a negative number.	You are tagging a number, but the selection includes text, spaces or symbols.	Select only the number. A leading minus is allowed.
Tag insertion already in progress	You clicked again before the previous tag was finished.	Wait a moment, then try again.
Unable to load current selection.	The add-in couldn't read what you have selected.	Click in the document, select the text again and retry.

These aren't errors. The add-in is asking what you meant:

Complex Block Tag: your selection includes tables, images or several paragraphs. It's often better to tag smaller parts and use continuation.
Chapter Tag: choose whether to tag the whole chapter or just the selected text.
Continuation?: choose whether this continues a tag you already inserted, or is a duplicate.
Duplicate?: the concept is already tagged for this period. Only confirm if you plan to remove the old tag, otherwise validation reports an error.
Non-numeric fixed zero?: the tag is numeric, but the text isn't a number (for example "–"). Confirm if it should count as zero.
